      Elizabeth A. Whigham also went by the name of "Mattie". Her married name was Gamble. She married William Irwin Gamble, son of Andrew Gamble and Alice Lawson. Elizabeth A. Whigham was born on 6 June 1823. She died on 21 June 1879 at age 56.

     Alice Gamble was born on 18 June 1824. She was the daughter of Andrew Gamble and Alice Lawson. As of 26 November 1850,her married name was Stanton. Alice Gamble married Alpheus Stanton on 26 November 1850. Alice Gamble died in 1950.

     Sarah Elizabeth Gamble was born in May 1826. She was the daughter of Andrew Gamble and Alice Lawson. Sarah Elizabeth Gamble died on 13 September 1895 at age 69.

     Her married name was Love. Mary Catherine Gamble married John Love. Mary Catherine Gamble was born on 17 November 1829. She was the daughter of Andrew Gamble and Alice Lawson. Mary Catherine Gamble died on 3 January 1899 at age 69.

     John Love married Mary Catherine Gamble, daughter of Andrew Gamble and Alice Lawson. John Love was born on 1 September 1817. He married Louisa Jane Gamble, daughter of Andrew Gamble and Alice Lawson, on 30 March 1852. John Love died on 8 February 1902 at age 84.

     Louisa Jane Gamble was born on 25 August 1832. She was the daughter of Andrew Gamble and Alice Lawson. As of 30 March 1852,her married name was Love. Louisa Jane Gamble married John Love on 30 March 1852. Louisa Jane Gamble died on 20 January 1876 at age 43.

      As of 1837,her married name was Lawson. Harriet Hitchcock married Roger Gamble Lawson, son of Andrew Thompson Lawson and Elizabeth Eakin, in 1837.

     Her married name was Evans. Mary Elizabeth Lawson married Thomas Evans. Mary Elizabeth Lawson was born in 1839. She was the daughter of Roger Gamble Lawson and Harriet Hitchcock. Mary Elizabeth Lawson died in 1870.

     Andrew Thompson Lawson was born in 1840. He was the son of Roger Gamble Lawson and Harriet Hitchcock. Andrew Thompson Lawson died in 1841.

     William Hugh Lawson was born on 28 May 1842. He was the son of Roger Gamble Lawson and Harriet Hitchcock.

     Benjamin Sessions was born in 1784. He married Mary Barry Lawson, daughter of Andrew Thompson Lawson and Mary Moore Barry, in 1819. Benjamin Sessions died in 1858.

     Her married name was Fluker. Mary Barry Sessions married Robert T. Fluker. Mary Barry Sessions was born in 1821. She was the daughter of Benjamin Sessions and Mary Barry Lawson. Mary Barry Sessions died in 1855.

     Robert T. Fluker married Mary Barry Sessions, daughter of Benjamin Sessions and Mary Barry Lawson.

     Her married name was Glenn. Susan Ann Sessions married William B. Glenn. Susan Ann Sessions was born in 1823. She was the daughter of Benjamin Sessions and Mary Barry Lawson. Susan Ann Sessions died in 1855.

     Martha A. Gobert was born in 1800. As of after 1816,her married name was Gamble. She married Roger Lawson Gamble I, son of Robert John Gamble and Margaret McGill Lawson, after 1830.

     Margaret Lawson Gamble was born on 5 November 1816. She was the daughter of Roger Lawson Gamble I and Mary Sterritt. Margaret Lawson Gamble died on 1 June 1844 at age 27.

     Thaddeus Oliver married Sarah Penelope Lawson, daughter of Hugh Lawson Jr. and Sarah Bryan.

     Hugh Forsyth Oliver was the son of Thaddeus Oliver and Sarah Penelope Lawson. Hugh Forsyth Oliver married Bessie Smith.

     James Oliver was the son of Thaddeus Oliver and Sarah Penelope Lawson. James Oliver married Marion Carter.

     Marion Carter married James Oliver, son of Thaddeus Oliver and Sarah Penelope Lawson.

The next farm, Bryan W. BROWN, 1861-1884, married Martha LAWSON, daughter of Hugh LAWSON. Mr. BROWN was the most hospitable man I ever knew. Two daughters: the older, Sally, married Eden TAYLOR of Monroe County. She had four children: Rosa (now principal of high school in Macon), Brown B., and Eden. Rosa, the youngest child of Mr. BROWN, married Buford M. DAVIS. They are all living in Macon. Bryan W. BROWN was in the militia in the war under Kirby SMITH. He helped to get John C. BRECKENRIDGE and Robert TOOMBS out of the way of the Yankees. The negro body servant with him caused an amusing incident in the army. Mr. BROWN told John to get a mule that he wished to send to r. Hugh LAWSON's place, six miles away. He did not want the negro to know General TOOMBS was there. John said, "Marse BRYAN, if it's because General TOOMBS is here you want to send me to Marse HUGH's, you need not send me off, for I know General TOOMBS is here. I knew his horse as soon as I saw him in the stable. I will not give the General away, and you know you can trust me." John did not mention it either. Yankee cavalry was all around the country, so Mr. BROWN carried General TOOMBS by hog paths, along swamps, until he delivered him to the next trusty man in the lower part of Dooly County. Old John is living yet, 82 years of age, on the same place. The Bryan BROWN land is now owned by L. M. BENTON, banker, Monticello, Georgia.
