     James Pinckney Henderson was the son of Col. James Henderson and Violet Lawson.

     Gen. James White was born on 8 August 1747 at Rowan Co., North Carolina. He was the son of Moses White and Mary McConnell. Gen. James White married Mary Lawson, daughter of Hugh Lawson and Mary Moore, on 13 May 1770 at Rowan Co., North Carolina. Gen. James White died on 14 August 1822 at Knox Co., Tennessee, at age 75.

     Margaret White was born on 8 April 1771. She was the daughter of Gen. James White and Mary Lawson. Margaret White died on 27 August 1827 at age 56.

     Hugh Lawson White married Elizabeth Carrick. Hugh Lawson White was born on 30 October 1773. He was the son of Gen. James White and Mary Lawson. Hugh Lawson White died on 10 April 1840 at age 66.

     Moses White was born on 22 April 1775. He was the son of Gen. James White and Mary Lawson.

     Cynthia Berry White was born on 7 April 1786. She was the daughter of Gen. James White and Mary Lawson. Cynthia Berry White died on 11 August 1855 at age 69.

     Melinda White was born on 15 February 1789. She was the daughter of Gen. James White and Mary Lawson. Melinda White died on 2 March 1838 at age 49.

     Her married name was White. Elizabeth Carrick married Hugh Lawson White, son of Gen. James White and Mary Lawson. Elizabeth Carrick died on 25 March 1831.

     Her married name was Glenn. Hannah Thompson Lawson married G. W. Glenn. Hannah Thompson Lawson was born on 19 February 1793. She was the daughter of Hugh Lawson and Anne Irvine. Hannah Thompson Lawson died on 26 July 1817 at age 24.

     G. W. Glenn married Hannah Thompson Lawson, daughter of Hugh Lawson and Anne Irvine. G. W. Glenn was born in 1790.

     Sarah Whittaker was born on 4 January 1772. She was the daughter of Eliphalet Whittaker and Ruth Bayless. As of 3 May 1795,her married name was Lawson. Sarah Whittaker married Hugh Lawson, son of Roger Lawson and Hannah Thompson, on 3 May 1795. Sarah Whittaker died on 22 March 1840 at age 68.

     Eliphalet Whittaker married Ruth Bayless on 3 May 1795.

     Hugh Lawson Jr. was born on 26 August 1799. He was the son of Hugh Lawson and Sarah Whittaker. Hugh Lawson Jr. married Mary Worthy before 1827. Hugh Lawson Jr. married Sarah Bryan in May 1827. Hugh Lawson Jr. died on 20 March 1856 at age 56. "South Hayneville. The LAWSON Family (1826-1856). Hugh LAWSON. This family was of England stock, Cavaliers. Came to America, I think, in 1740. First settled in Virginia, then emigrated after the Revolution to Burke County, Georgia. This Hugh LAWSON came direct from Burke to Houston County. He was a man of large means when he came to Houston and added largely to his fortune all of his life. He raised to be grown nine daughters and four sons. He always believed in the old English laws of sons inheriting all lands, so when a daughter married, he gave her ten slaves and three thousand dollars. His sons got all the lands, three thousand acres, and also two hundred and fifty slaves. His oldest son died. His second, Robert, was killed in the battle of Seven Pines, Civil War. A remarkable incident happened at this battle. Hugh LAWSON had a body servant by the name of Dan, who heard that Hugh was shot. Dan went among the shot and shell, found Hugh, put him on his shoulder and got nearly out of danger when a ball hit him in the leg and broke it, so he and Hugh were found together after the battle. Hugh and Dan were sent back to Georgia, both got well, returned to the army and surrendered to GRANT at Appomattox."

"All of Hugh's daughters married good men and raised families, with the exception of one. The old LAWSON farm is now owned by five men, not one acre in the family. There are left only three men of the LAWSON name: Hugh LAWSON of Perry, Harley F. LAWSON of Hawkinsville, and Frank LAWSON of Dublin."

She married John Thompson Lawson, son of Roger Lawson and Hannah Thompson, on 1 September 1778 at Columbia, South Carolina. Alice Moore died on 9 January 1798 at Washington Co., Georgia, at age 37.

     Charles Moore Lawson was born on 3 March 1777. He was the son of John Thompson Lawson and Alice Moore.

     Roger Lawson married Lucy Smith. Roger Lawson was born on 28 July 1778. He was the son of John Thompson Lawson and Alice Moore. Roger Lawson died in 1830.

     Elizabeth Lawson was born on 10 May 1781. She was the daughter of John Thompson Lawson and Alice Moore. Elizabeth Lawson died on 23 June 1781.

     Hugh Thompson Lawson was born in 1783. He was the son of John Thompson Lawson and Alice Moore.
